Registered Nurse, Emergency Department

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our interprofessional care team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough patient assessments, collect relevant data, and develop individualized care plans to address patient needs and goals.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide person-centered care, promote patient advocacy, and facilitate smooth transitions of care.
- Clinical Expertise: Utilize your knowledge and skills to provide evidence-based nursing care, including medication administration, wound care, and other interventions as needed.
- Leadership and Education: Participate in nursing committees, care conferences, and councils to contribute to the development of nursing policies and procedures. Provide education and support to patients, families, and new staff members as required.
- Education and Experience: Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Completion of applicable post-graduate coursework in emergency nursing or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse patient populations and healthcare teams.
