About the Role
Fountain Tire is seeking a skilled Tire Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of tires.
Key Responsibilities
- Install a variety of tires, including passenger, light truck, and commercial tires
- Use computer diagnostics to balance tires and ensure proper wear
- Rotate tires to ensure optimal performance and extend tire life
- Repair tires in a safe and efficient manner, using industry-standard techniques and equipment
- Reset and repair tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS)
- Maintain tire service equipment, including tire changers, balancers, and other specialized tools
- Operate company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner
- Understand and adhere to safe operation of all equipment, including forklifts and other heavy machinery
Requirements
- At least 1 year of related tire experience required
- Automotive experience, preferably in a tire service or repair environment
- Ability to maintain a valid driver's license and provide a satisfactory Driver's Abstract
- Provide excellent customer service and work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and a focus on safety
- Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Tire-related experience, preferably in a commercial or heavy-duty tire environment
- Mechanical understanding and ability to diagnose and repair complex tire-related issues
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
