Job Title: Child Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Child Development Specialist to join our team at Octopus Academy. As a key member of our early childhood education team, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for our young learners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers with care and attention to their individual needs.
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Engage children in activities that foster their creativity, curiosity, and love for learning.
  • Supervise and train staff, trainees, or volunteers to ensure a high standard of care and education.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment that protects the well-being of children.
Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Experience an asset
