Stationary Plant Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Stationary Operating Engineer to join our team at St. Helen's Meat Packers Limited.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and operating stationary equipment in our food processing plant. This includes completing and maintaining station records, logs, and reports, instructing apprentices, and assisting during routine systems testing.
Key Responsibilities- Complete and maintain station records, logs, and reports
- Instruct apprentices in the operation and maintenance of stationary equipment
- Assist during routine systems testing and troubleshooting
- Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect malfunctioning and ensure normal operation
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and repairs
- Write plant or building operation reports
- Monitor and inspect work to ensure compliance with safety procedures
- College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years
- 2 years of experience in a related field
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems and equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
The successful candidate will work in a food processing plant environment, with regular exposure to refrigeration systems and equipment. The work term is permanent, with a 40-hour workweek.
