Job Summary

The Training Performance and Evaluation Specialist is a critical role within CATSA / ACSTA, responsible for supporting the measurement and evaluation of training programs delivered at designated Canadian airports. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of training programs, including the gathering and analysis of training performance data.
  • Write clear and concise reports, recommendations, and presentations related to the evaluation of training programs.
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a specialization in Instructional Design, Adult Education, or another relevant field.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience designing and deploying training effectiveness/evaluations.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience evaluating formal adult training programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in training evaluation and analysis.
  • Experience planning, organizing, and coordinating program implementation, application, and effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated experience writing clear and concise reports, briefing materials, and presentations.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience synthesizing findings and presenting information in a business context.
Desirable Skills and Abilities
  • Strong ability to analyze data, synthesize information, and recommend insightful solutions.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Ability to persuade and liaise effectively.

Valuable Skills and Knowledge
  • Understanding of Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Knowledge and experience using mixed-method (quantitative and qualitative) approaches to research and evaluation, planning, design, implementation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of Training Evaluation and performance measurements such as the Kirkpatrick Model, Philips ROI Model, and Brinkerhoff model.
  • Knowledge of the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model.
  • Knowledge of CATSA's priorities and mandate, as well as legislation impacting CATSA activities.
Work Requirements
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Language Profile: English Essential.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
