As the Global Director of Enterprise Architecture, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of WSP's enterprise architecture across our global operations. Your role will be to ensure alignment between our business, IT, and operational strategies by driving architecture initiatives that support growth, innovation, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of a core set of EA 'services', describing the engagement points between EA and the wider organisation.
- Ensure the current solution landscape is understood, identifying and prioritising areas for capability enhancement or retirement.
- Provide architectural and technical leadership to initiatives, ensuring a clear architectural direction.
- Establish and maintain architecture governance models and frameworks.
- Advise on how emerging technologies can support digital transformation and drive business value.
- Ensure effective daily management of the EA function, and assume responsibility for team members' development.
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional with:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in Enterprise Architecture or similar roles, with 5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Experience in large-scale global enterprises, preferably within the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) or professional services sectors.
- Experience in managing multiple suppliers.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills.
- Experience in private or public cloud computing (Azure), infrastructure, and IT infrastructure automation.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to balance short-term priorities with long-term objectives.
- Experience in applying best safety practices in the design and implementation of initiatives.
- Knowledge of IT governance, risk management, and compliance.
