Job Summary

WoodGreen is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our Child Care & Family Services team. As an ECE Program Staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in our group settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate daily programs that promote children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment that meets the needs of children, staff, and families.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure a cohesive and effective program.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children's progress and development.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Early Childhood Education Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current RECE (Registered Early Childhood Educator) Certification from CECE.
  • Valid Standard First Aid/CPR-C.
  • Health assessment, including up-to-date immunization records and TB test required.
  • RECE membership # required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated understanding of Early Learning Framework.
  • Ability to handle emergencies.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others and provide work direction as required.
  • Ability to use professional judgment daily within established guidelines.
  • Ability to accommodate competing demands.
  • Ability to maintain neat and accurate records and prepare reports.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with children, parents, staff, teachers, and the public.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information related to children, parents and staff.
  • Ability to speak a second language is considered an asset.
