Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at Natrona County School District.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues to establish and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Design and implement individualized instruction to meet the diverse needs of students with special needs.
  • Evaluate student progress and adjust instruction to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and reports to comply with district and state regulations.
  • Manage classroom structure and procedures to create a safe and orderly learning environment.
  • Model positive behaviors and promote social and interpersonal skills among students.
  • Supervise and support assistant teachers, student teachers, and instructional assistants.
  • Participate in meetings and professional growth opportunities to enhance instructional practices.
  • Respond to emergency situations and direct to appropriate personnel for resolution.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a job-related field.
  • Current Wyoming teacher certification, endorsed in the content area as required per certification.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary and a $12,000 signing bonus for new hires to the district. Additionally, we provide $6,000 for the first year upon obtaining licensure/certification and $2,000 paid at the end of each school year upon successful evaluations and contract renewal.
