Inventory Control and Planning Manager

Magna Exteriors is seeking a highly skilled Inventory Control and Planning Manager to join our team in Woodbridge. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the efficient management of inventory across multiple sites.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Inventory Control and Planning Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procedures to maintain high inventory accuracy. You will work closely with the Mytox team to ensure we meet company goals and implement strategies to meet department objectives.
Developing and Implementing ProceduresYou will develop, implement, and manage proper procedures and processes to ensure high inventory accuracy for raw materials, purchased components, WIP, and finished goods inventory in multi-site facilities.
Inventory ManagementImplement necessary strategies to meet and maintain department goals, including effective JIT inventory mix sustained at each appropriate location. Monitor daily department outcomes, such as achieving inventory turns, 100% customer delivery performance, preventing material-related downtime, and expedited freight.
Team LeadershipYou will commit to the leadership and development of team members while fostering a positive, collaborative work culture. Promote and communicate lean management techniques, attend Mytox APQP meetings, and provide timely information for program success.
Communication and Problem-SolvingCommunicate effectively with suppliers (written and verbal) and purchasing teams on a daily basis to achieve organizational objectives. Take a leading role in implementing flawless customer product launches and effective engineering changes. Experience reconciling company inventory at outside processor facilities (remotely and on-site), conducting inventory cycle counts/physical inventory, and BOM audits on site and at suppliers.
Requirements- Post-secondary education or equivalent related to Materials Management & Supply Chain
- Excellent planning, interpersonal/leadership, team building, and organizational skills
- Highly adaptable, motivated, analytical/data driven, detail-oriented, and able to work autonomously
- Open-minded and decisive problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills (English both written and verbal)
- APICS CSCP – Certified Supply Chain Professional or equivalent
- Automotive background (preferably Magna)
- Value stream mapping experience
- 6 Sigma Black/Green belt
- Experience maintaining ERP bill of materials (BOMs) and product routings
