About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Technology Sales Consultant to join our team at Staples Canada. As a champion of the customer experience, you will be responsible for enabling our work, learn, and grow culture for our customers and associates.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Inspire Customers: Connect, share, and partner with customers to find the best technology and connectivity solutions that meet their working and learning goals.
  2. Expertise and Referrals: Be an expert in our products and services to identify and recommend referral opportunities.
  3. Customer Feedback and Follow-up: Reconnect and follow up with customers to solicit feedback on sales, promote additional products and services, and create value.
  4. Mentorship and Leadership: Be a mentor and lead in selling for the technology and workspaces departments, and cultivate a selling culture with associates to achieve goals and targets.
  5. Quote Preparation: Prepare quotes on technology systems and related products when required.
  6. Store Support: Provide coverage and assistance in all areas of the store where business needs require, including Tech Services.
  7. Communication: Communicate relevant sales information, inventory levels, and product issues to store leaders.
  8. Merchandising and Safety: Ensure adherence to company merchandising standards, including current pricing, signage, planograms, promotional planners, advertising set-ups, and displays. Maintain a clean and safe environment, prioritizing the safety of yourself, fellow associates, and customers.
Requirements
  1. Technology Sales Experience: 3+ years of experience in technology sales.
  2. Leadership Experience: 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role with direct accountability for achieving sales and service targets.
  3. Education: Completion of post-secondary education in a technical field is preferred.
  4. Customer Service and Sales Results: Proven track record of achieving customer service excellence and sales results.
  5. Technology Savviness: Technology savvy and curious.
  6. Approachable and Passionate: Approachable, passionate, and a solutions finder.
