Job Title: Plant Associate

Stericycle is a leading provider of compliance-based solutions that protect people and brands, promote health and well-being, and safeguard the environment. As a Plant Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient processing of medical waste.

About the Role:

The Plant Associate will be responsible for unloading waste from vehicles, decontaminating the vehicles, and staging the waste for scanning and processing. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unload small container trucks and load containers onto conveyor systems
  • Operate conveyor systems to ensure containers are sent to the proper area for receiving and sorting
  • Scan waste into the S4 processing system for proper record keeping
  • Place reusable containers on the tub wash line for decontamination
  • Operate the tub wash unit to ensure proper functioning
  • Remove clean tubs from the wash unit, inspect, and stack them for loading onto assigned vehicles
  • Inspect and repair bins to ensure they are serviceable, removing those that are not and replacing with new ones
  • Decontaminate vehicles, reload assigned reusable tubs, and ensure the cargo-carrying portion of the vehicle does not have free liquid on the floor
  • Inform the plant supervisor when the vehicle is ready to be moved from the dock area

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in a plant environment, preferably in a role with similar responsibilities
  • Valid driver's license
  • Forklift certification
