Job Title: Structural Metal Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled Structural Metal Fabricator to join our team at Avilion Metalcraft Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling structural metal components, working with a variety of materials and equipment to meet project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine materials required for projects and interpret engineering drawings to plan methods and sequences of operation
  • Lay out reference points and patterns, and plan the sequence of tasks to cut metal most efficiently
  • Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures, and weld or bolt sections together
  • Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines, and construct patterns and templates
  • Install fabricated components in final products, and rig, hoist, and move materials to storage areas or within the worksite
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field
  • Forklift Operator Certification and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques, and experience with brakes and presses, cutting torches, drills, grinders, shears, and saws
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail
