We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Wood Leaf Trading Inc. as a key member of our retail and wholesale operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat to meet customer demands.
  • Wrap and package prepared meats for sale in our retail store and wholesale to our clients.
  • Remove bones from meat to ensure high-quality products.
  • Weigh meats for sale and grind meats as required.
  • Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products to attract customers.
  • Cut beef, lamb, pork, or veal carcasses or sides or quarters of carcasses into primal cuts for further cutting, processing, or packaging.
  • Maintain food safety and handling skills to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Manual cutting utensil experience.
  • Sausage machine operation.
  • Slicing machine operation.
  • Knowledge of Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Standing for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Physically demanding role requiring handling heavy loads.
  • Hand-eye coordination.
