Optical Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Optician to join our team at LensCrafters in Langley, BC. As a key member of our optical team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and providing expert eyewear solutions to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome and engage with customers, setting clear expectations and providing personalized service
- Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses, ensuring accurate and precise results
- Act as a leader in optical acumen, providing expert guidance and support to colleagues
- Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensuring finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs
- Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions, providing expert support and guidance
- Accurately and thoroughly use technology, despite time pressure and customer volume, demonstrating exceptional product knowledge and tool usage
- Proactively explore root causes of issues, think forward, and ensure customers are satisfied and expectations are exceeded, driving solutions-driven results
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities, striving for exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies
- Take pride in store appearance, help maintain a clean, attractive, and organized store environment
- Inform management of safety opportunities, demonstrating safe work practices
- Resourceful, self-motivated, with a desire for continual learning, improvement, and results, adhering to company policies and procedures
- High School graduate or equivalent
- State Licensure
- Optical dispensing experience
- Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener, and team builder
- Knowledge of current store merchandise
- Strong basic math skills
- Awareness of current fashion trends
- Selling skills – ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet
- Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators
- Embrace new technology and change
- Previous customer service and retail experience
