Job Description:
Project Scheduler RoleAs a Senior Construction Scheduler, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining project schedules from conceptual planning through engineering and construction. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, designers, procurement staff, construction managers, contractors, and other project services staff to ensure timely completion of projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing resource-loaded schedules, including lists of activities, major milestones, critical approvals, long-lead procurement items, and other critical project deliverables.
- Creating schedule logic and constraints, realistic activity durations, and available manpower and resources.
- Assessing the impact of design changes and schedule slippages, informing company management and clients of all schedule updates.
- Applying extensive knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction terminology and concepts to develop and maintain critical path logic networks.
- Providing guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for resolving difficult project control problems, interfacing with clients, attending regular meetings, and giving statistical reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Key Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or technical training with related experience.
- 2+ years of construction scheduling experience, including three years of proven leadership directing scheduling functions.
- Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards, and an in-depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional units.
- Proficiency in various project controls software, such as Excel, Primavera, and other company-specific software.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, goals, and objectives, and relocate as organizational needs arise.
