We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the day-to-day operations of Environmental Services, Laundry Services, Security and Porter Services, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
The Supervisor will collaborate with the Assistant Manager in planning and developing standardized practices and initiatives to ensure operationalization. Travel to various sites will be required.
About You- Post-secondary education in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
- Two years of supervisory experience is required, with experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset.
- Demonstrated experience in cleaning methods, practices, and techniques, as well as Occupational Health and Safety principles and WHMIS, is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all management and staff, assess and anticipate problems/issues, and make prompt decisions and take action when required.
- Travel to other sites is required, and a reliable vehicle is necessary.
- Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.
- Permanent, Full-time (100%) position; 75 hours bi-weekly.
- This position will work a 3:00pm-11:00pm shift.
$37.38 Hourly.
