Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist - Ultrasound Technologist to join our Medical Imaging team at Shuswap Lake General Hospital in Salmon Arm, British Columbia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures and related duties while working collaboratively with radiologists, cardiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. Echo experience is an asset for this position.

This role involves performing outpatient-based work, with approximately 25 percent of time spent on inpatients or emergency patients for Ultrasound/Echo. The hospital provides approximately 8,800 ultrasounds and 2,800 echo exams per year. The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist - Ultrasound Technologist will provide general and echo services, splitting their days between half of each.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
• A graduate degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasonography) from a recognized/accredited program
• Current certification with Sonography Canada as required for the assigned practice area (such as Generalist and/or Cardiac) and/or current certification with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as required for the assigned practice area (such as Abdomen/Small Parts, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Cardiac, and/or Vascular) or certification with Sonography Canada and have passed the Sonography Canada Skills Assessment (CCSA)
• Eligibility for membership with Sonography Canada and/or ARDMS
