Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Medical Respiratory Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Respiratory Specialist, you will work directly with clients, referral sources and funding agencies to deliver high-quality clinical evidence-based care. Your role will involve conducting appointments and setting up equipment for sleep diagnostic testing based on American Academy Sleep Medicine (AASM) guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate client therapies based on referrals and determine respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians.
  • Initiate PAP therapy when prescribed, providing patients with education, instructions on use, and cleaning and maintaining their equipment.
  • Provide regular follow-up to clients to evaluate the effects of therapeutic care, recommending adjustments and modifications as needed to increase compliance and comfort with therapy.
  • Maintain up-to-date continuing education related to the position to ensure clients receive current therapies and devices.
Requirements:
  • College Certificate or Diploma in a Technical/Medical Science field where permitted.
  • Licensed to practice with the provincial governing body.
  • Good knowledge of Obstructive Sleep Apnea and CPAP therapy.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft, Google applications and Android.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including dental care, extended health care, on-site parking, and vision care.
