Job Title: Body Repair Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Body Repair Technician to join our team at Port Moody Collision. As a Body Repair Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain a safe and organized workspace
  • Repair and replace body components, doors, and frames
  • File, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired
  • Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
  • Hammer out dents, buckles, and defects using blocks and hammers
  • Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
  • Repair or replace interior components
  • Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment

Requirements:

  • Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience
  • Experience an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Dependability, initiative, and reliability
  • Team player with excellent communication skills

Work Environment:

Our shop is a fast-paced environment where you will be working with a team to repair and restore damaged vehicles. You will be required to work in a physically demanding environment and be able to lift heavy objects.
