Job Title: Body Repair Technician

We are seeking a skilled Body Repair Technician to join our team at Port Moody Collision. As a Body Repair Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain work space to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
  • Replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components to restore damaged vehicles
  • File, grind and sand body surfaces to be repaired to achieve a smooth finish
  • Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting to ensure a flawless finish
  • Hammer out dents, buckles and defects using blocks and hammers to restore damaged body panels
  • Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place to restore damaged vehicles
  • Repair or replace interior components to restore damaged vehicles
  • Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment to restore damaged vehicles
Requirements:
  • Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
  • Experience an asset
  • Fast-paced environment and physically demanding work
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
