Key System Administrator for Sophis Application

We are seeking an experienced Key System Administrator to join our team at the Royal Bank of Canada.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application support, with expertise in SQL language, Python scripting, and batch processing. Additionally, they should have experience with job schedulers, such as BMC Control-M or Autosys, and be proficient in Windows Server and Linux.

This is a critical role that requires attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the stability and availability of the Sophis application, as well as continuous software releases to add features and enhancements.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • 3+ years' experience supporting applications
  • SQL language (3 years, Oracle preferred), Python scripting experience (1-2 years)
  • Batch processing experience
  • Job Scheduler experience (i.e. BMC Control-M, Autosys, Cron, etc.)
  • Windows Server (3 years), Linux experience (3 years)
