As a Screening Agent at Mintz Global Screening, you will play a critical role in the daily processing of our background check services. Our services include verifying references, driving records, diplomas, professional accreditations, and other services offered by the company.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Screening Agent, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Executing verification work using available tools and staying up-to-date on new services, procedures, and applicable laws
  • Acquiring necessary consent documents for requested verifications
  • Understanding the nature and limits of client mandates
  • Conducting regular monitoring according to customer needs and responding to their inquiries in a timely manner
  • Providing results to clients and offering additional avenues of research when necessary
  • Making outbound calls and answering incoming calls to complete verifications
  • Ensuring compliance with company standards of privacy and security, as well as meeting client service deadlines
  • Collaborating with team members to provide excellent customer service
  • Seeking guidance from team leaders for advice, answers to questions, and notification of any problematic situations
  • Performing other duties assigned by supervisors

Required Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree from a recognized Canadian college or high school
  • Typing ability of at least 30 words per minute

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in customer service
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in web-based tools and databases
  • Strong organizational skills, autonomy, and attention to detail
  • Ability to clearly communicate research results
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Aptitude to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment
