The Accounts Receivable Agent plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of West Edmonton Mall's financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of AR files with tenants, collecting payments as per lease agreements and reconciling complex tenant accounts.
  • Review lease requirements and communicate with tenants regarding payment due dates.
  • Verify and prepare invoices, bank deposits, and process incoming customer cheques.
  • Prepare daily cash reports, post credit memos, and assist with client dispute resolution.
  • Transfer key elements from lease agreements to the accounting software system.
  • Interpret complex lease language and understand lease calculations, including percentage rent and CPI increases.
  • Assist with issue resolutions and process adjustments while reviewing and advising on inconsistencies and invoices.
  • Perform various administrative duties, including maintaining filing and record systems.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Three to five years of experience in accounting or accounts receivable.
  • Post-secondary diploma in accounting or a related field.
  • Professional attitude and demeanor with excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and able to adapt to other software programs.
  • Previous experience working with commercial lease agreements and direct experience performing commercial collections.

Terms of Employment:

  • This is a full-time position available Monday through Friday.
  • This position qualifies for our 4-day workweek program.
  • This is a salaried position with a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
  • Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
