Social Worker

We are seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our Youth First Team, providing guardianship, protection, and child welfare services to at-risk youth. As a member of this dedicated team, you will be responsible for guiding day-to-day care decisions, coordinating support networks, responding to crises, and creating safety plans.
Key Responsibilities- Provide guardianship, protection, and child welfare services to at-risk youth
- Guide day-to-day care decisions and coordinate support networks
- Respond to crises and create safety plans
- Celebrate milestones with the youth, such as birthdays, graduations, and cultural ceremonies
Applicants must meet the preferred or expanded credentials and experience requirements, which include:
- Preferred Credentials:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Social Work or in Child & Youth Care
- Master's Degree in Educational Counselling Psychology/Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology with completion of a practicum in family and child welfare
- In-service Ministry of Children and Family Development employees with a regular SPO 24-30 base position that requires delegation under the Child, Family and Community Services Act (CFCSA)
- Expanded Credentials:
- Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field
- Master's level graduate Certificate/Diploma in a Human Services field after completion of an unrelated Bachelor's Degree
- PLUS, a minimum of one year of related or job-specific work experience
