This role entails serving as a Senior Project Manager based out of our Toronto or Montreal office. As the key point of contact, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall project management, ensuring seamless execution, timely completion, and ultimate client satisfaction.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Foster effective project management by providing technical solutions that meet client requirements, leveraging industry-proven technology and innovative designs.
  • Coordinate the engineering effort across disciplines and departments to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Implement DRA project management processes efficiently and effectively.

**Operational Management:**

  • Contribute to safety-related matters, actively participate in promoting a total safety culture.
  • Develop project procedures and manage the project set-up phase.
  • Manage project scope, including change control processes.
  • Ensure timely completion of project deliverables and manage project schedules.
  • Oversee project budgets, managing costs and related cost control processes.
  • Mitigate risks to both DRA and the client, ensuring they are addressed proactively.
  • Evaluate project quality aspects to guarantee adherence to the agreed-upon project quality management plan.
  • Manage project communications, including documentation control and reporting.
  • Execute project phases, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning as required.

**Financial Performance:**

  • Monitor the commercial aspects of the project to ensure profitability and alignment with expected margins at tender stage.
  • Maximize contractual bonus opportunities without compromising project/DRA standards or long-term client relationships.
  • Negotiate the commercial relationship with the client, focusing on mitigating risks to DRA, particularly contract liabilities, battery limits, and performance guarantee requirements.
  • Manage the EPCM/manhour budget and oversee client invoicing processes, ensuring timely payments.

**Client Relationship Management:**

  • Nurture a long-term, mutually beneficial relationship with the client, aiming to secure repeat business and establish DRA as their preferred partner/engineering service provider.
  • Exceed client expectations by delivering high-quality results within agreed timelines.
  • Timely resolve client issues and maintain open communication channels to keep them informed about project progress.
  • Cultivate professional and respectful interactions with clients at all times.

**Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Professional Engineer Registration
  • At least 15 years of experience in project management, specifically in mining and infrastructure industries, covering project development, and experience in managing multiple projects from initiation to close-out.
  • 14+ years of experience within a design and construction company in the Mining and/or EPCM Industries.
  • 12+ years of general experience and understanding risk assessment, developing advanced-level analysis, earned value management, trending, claims, forecasting, and contractor negotiations.

We offer a competitive salary range between $120,000 and $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits.
