Our company has a strong presence in Perth, Australia, with an office and cutting and polishing facility, as well as offices in Calgary, Canada, and Antwerp, Belgium. We're dedicated to creating Preliminary Feasibility Studies (PFS) for our underground mine operations, and we're looking for an experienced Mining Engineer to join our team.

As a key member of our Mine Planning Team, you'll work on creating PFS for our underground mine projects, supporting long-term mine plans, and collaborating with third-party technical consultants and contractors. You'll also be responsible for developing life of mine, long-range, five-year, and one-year mine plans, as well as facilitating weekly and monthly meetings to communicate PFS development updates to key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing PFS for underground mine projects
  • Supporting long-term mine plans and collaborating with third-party technical consultants and contractors
  • Developing life of mine, long-range, five-year, and one-year mine plans
  • Facilitating weekly and monthly meetings to communicate PFS development updates to key stakeholders

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in underground mining operations or technical consulting
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Canada, with a preference for registration in the Northwest Territories
  • PMP certification or experience in project scheduling and execution
  • Hands-on planning and operation experience in sub-level caving and block caving mining methods
  • Experience in creating capital forecasts, financial modeling, and economic modeling
