Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dining Room Supervisor to join our team at Delmanor Communities. As a key member of our dining team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service and a memorable dining experience for our residents and their guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume leadership role in the dining room: In the absence of the Dining Room Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the dining room operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient service.
  • Ensure exceptional service: You will be responsible for checking tables before seating and during meals to ensure proper service and presentation.
  • Manage workflow and resident concerns: You will ensure a proper workflow in the dining room area and handle any concerns brought forward by residents in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Other duties as required: You will be responsible for performing other duties as required to support the dining team and ensure the success of our dining operations.

Requirements:

  • 5-Star Dining Room Training: You will have completed a recognized 5-star dining room training program.
  • Experience in a retirement setting: You will have a minimum of two years' experience as a dining room server in a retirement setting.
  • Leadership skills: You will have proven ability to show leadership amongst peers and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
  • Communication skills: You will have excellent communication skills in English and be able to effectively communicate with residents, staff, and vendors.
  • Computer proficiency: You will have basic computer proficiency and be able to use our dining management system.
