About the Role

The Server is a key member of our dining team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service to residents, guests, and the public. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the dining room for all services, including setting tables, stocking necessary items, and assisting with food preparation and presentation.
  • Provide quality customer service to all persons served, ensuring a pleasant and respectful dining experience.
  • Carry out general cleaning duties in the dining room, including clearing and bussing tables, and washing dishes as needed.
  • Establish and maintain a positive atmosphere in the dining room, promoting a sense of community and respect among residents and staff.
  • Perform other duties as required, including housekeeping and laundry tasks.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Grade 10 or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a dining room environment, an asset.
  • Food Safe Level 1 Certificate.
  • Serving It Right Certificate, as applicable.
  • WHMIS Certificate.
  • Demonstrates collaborative and team working skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently and understand verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to operate related food service equipment.
  • Must be in good health, physically able to operate food service equipment and tasks related to the position.
