**SUMMARY**:
The Catering Server is responsible for a wide variety of duties, including the set up and dismantling of tables, buffets, chairs and audio-visual equipment in the banquet rooms and outdoor areas. It is vital that they respond to Event Coordinator request and needs in a friendly and professional manor to meet and exceed guest expectations.

**Responsibilities**
- Treats each guest with respect in delivering top-notch professional service to always ensure a Five-Star experience.
- Knows the different styles of room set-ups as they relate to their specific functionality (eg. corporate seminars, weddings, golf tournaments, etc.)
- Knows how to operate and set up/dismantle banquet equipment and furniture.
- Responsible for following up with the guests throughout their experience.
- Is familiar with current menus from preparation to presentation and can provide accurate information to guests including all ingredients.
- Will communicate calmly to all kitchen staff to relay guest special requests.
- Adheres to all Departmental guidelines and standards, including safety standards, as set out by the Catering Management Team.
- Must always maintain a professional and welcoming appearance.
- Is responsible for being prepared to start shift on time each day.
- Is able and willing to perform any other duties as may be required from time to time.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Previous catering server experience an asset but not necessary
- Valid Serving It Right certification
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, and the public.
- Ability to deal with challenging guest situations in an effective and positive manner..
- Must be able to work independently and work as part of a team to achieve team goals.
- Ability to multi-task and pay close attention to details.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear; lift or move up to 50 pounds. This job requires set up and take down of chairs and tables on a regular basis.
