Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Plant Protection Officer to join our team at Securiguard Services Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing security, emergency services, and HSE-related duties at our industrial site in Kitimat.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing security services, including patrolling the site, responding to emergencies, and conducting investigations.
  • Assisting with HSE-related duties, such as conducting risk assessments, implementing safety protocols, and providing training to colleagues.
  • Operating heavy equipment, such as snowplows and industrial landscaping equipment.
  • Participating in regular training exercises, including fire and rescue, confined space, and medical training.

Requirements:

  • Completion of High School or equivalent.
  • Fire Fighter 10.01 & 10.02 certification.
  • BST (Basic Security Training) including a valid Security License.
  • Valid OFA 3 or EMR Certificate.
  • Ability to Pass an Oral Fluid Drug Test.
  • Class 5 driver's license.
  • Equipment Operator Certificate (or relevant experience).
  • Experience working at heights and/or in confined spaces.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Proven analytical and organizational skills.
  • Customer service skills.
  • MARSEC clearance training an asset.
  • Leadership skills and experience an asset.
