Food Process Engineer Job Opportunity in Lethbridge, AB

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Food Process Engineer to join our team in Lethbridge, AB. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a critical role in supporting and leading process engineering requirements for client projects.

  1. Project Support and Leadership: The engineer will work closely with clients and project teams to define project requirements, develop conceptual designs, and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  2. Design and Development: Key responsibilities include developing preliminary and detailed designs, drawings, and specifications, as well as reviewing engineering deliverables to maintain high standards of quality.
  3. Site Visits and Collaboration: Conduct site visits to survey project sites and collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams located across North America.

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is required. Additionally, 3-10 years of progressive experience in process design for the food, beverage, or biotech industry is essential. Experience in designing fluid and bulk materials handling processes, sanitary process systems, and CFIA/HACCP requirements is also necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

Provincial (P.Eng) or State (PE) designation or eligibility is preferred, along with knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and strong leadership skills. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and proficiency in using software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Autocad, and Revit are highly desired.

Estimated Salary Range:

$90,000 - $140,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. This salary range is based on national averages for similar positions in Canada.
