Equipment Maintenance Specialist

As part of the WITRON Group, the WITRON Service Canada Corporation is internationally successful in the technical operation of automated logistic systems. Key responsibilities include:
- Clearing machine faults in a timely and efficient manner using logic
- Respecting established procedures and policies
- Adhering to established fault escalation procedures
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and debris-free work area
- Returning all products/cases outside of automation to designated areas
- Sweeping floors, removing dust from, and underneath equipment and panels
- Monitoring system performance and operational status awareness
- Identifying areas for improvement
- Escalating repetitive faults
- Using proper reports and camera angles depending on the job position
- Providing feedback on system performance at handover meetings
- Completing various checklists provided
- Attending regularly scheduled improvement meetings (rotational basis)
- Regularly referring to TS-Procedures in our TS-Cluster for a refresh on work procedures relating to your job function
- Adhering to 5S principles
- Attending pre-shift meetings and absorbing information on the daily PowerPoint presentation
Qualifications:
- No specific technical education required but preferred
- Minimum High School Diploma with a noted preference for a post-secondary trades certificate notably in automation or maintenance/mechanical/electrical/electronics related fields
Knowledge/Experience Required:
- Technically and mechanically inclined
- Practical attitude and ability to learn new tasks, concepts, and procedures
- PC skills in a Windows environment
- Able to work at heights exceeding 20 meters
- Able to work days, evenings, and nights, and weekends (After ramp-up begins, preferred shifts will be assigned based on hire date)
- Ability to travel if required for training
- Training in entry-level electromechanics an asset
