Job OverviewWe are seeking an Automation Specialist to join our Maintenance Team in Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and providing maintenance repairs to the cranes and other automated machinery within the facility.
Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance and unplanned electrical and mechanical repairs on automated equipment.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated equipment, including cranes, conveyors, and specialty equipment.
- Perform planned maintenance on automated cranes, conveyors, and specialty equipment.
- Proficiently use basic hand and power tools to perform repairs.
- Analyze electrical and mechanical issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor system performance and operational status.
- Collaborate with other technicians on mechanical and electrical problems.
- Use Witron's Computerized Management System for shift cross-overs, tracking parts, and completing work orders.
- Document and complete planned repairs and maintenance activities.
- A 2-3 year degree or diploma in Electromechanical Engineering technology or equivalent.
- Red seal endorsement in Electrical 442A/309A/5th year Industrial Electrician apprentice or Red Seal endorsement in Industrial Millwright or final year Industrial Millwright apprentice.
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in an industrial automation environment or manufacturing with both mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting and repair.
- Rigging and hoisting experience of loads up to 1 ton.
- Experience working with AC voltages up to 480V and control voltage of 24V.
- Familiarity with the 5S system.
$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
