We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanical Repairer to join our team at Upper Brant Automotive.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units, adjusting and repairing or replacing parts and components of automotive systems, and completing reports to record problems and work performed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical Repairs: Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
- Problem-Solving: Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with imported vehicles, automatic transmission, standard transmission, and electrical and electronic systems.
- Communication: Discuss work with supervisor, complete reports to record problems and work performed, and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
Requirements:
- Education: Completion of an apprenticeship program in automotive service technician or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field of employment.
- Certifications/Licenses: Valid driver's licence, criminal record check, driving record check (abstract).
