Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Labourer in Red Deer, Alberta. As a Labourer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our equipment yard, detailing heavy machinery, and assisting with various shop duties.

About the Role

This is an entry-level position that offers opportunities for growth and development, particularly for individuals interested in pursuing an apprenticeship. You will work closely with our experienced team members to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Detailing heavy equipment after repairs, ensuring it meets high standards of quality and safety
  • Maintaining the wash bay equipment and surrounding area, promoting a clean and efficient working environment
  • Cleaning parts and components, both manually and using specialized equipment
  • Organizing equipment in the yard, adhering to safety protocols and optimizing storage space
  • Assisting in the dismantling of heavy equipment and components, requiring strong physical ability and attention to detail
  • Performing general maintenance tasks, such as grading, leveling, and snow removal, to ensure dealership premises remain safe and well-maintained
Requirements
  • Demonstrated interest in pursuing an apprenticeship or related trade
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effective collaboration with colleagues
  • Able to carry out verbal and written instructions, with a focus on safety and efficiency
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to regulations
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 75 pounds and working in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Forklift experience and heavy-duty parts handling, valuable assets in this role
  • Previous mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn, essential for success in this position
  • Familiarity with operating heavy equipment, advantageous but not required
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license, with Class 1A license considered an asset
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Location and Working Conditions

This role is based in Red Deer, Alberta, and requires regular attendance at our dealership location.
