Join Our Team as a Math and Science Coach

Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. is seeking a part-time Math and Science Coach to join our team in Surrey, British Columbia. As a Math and Science Coach, you will work with students in grades 8-12, providing academic support and guidance in math and science subjects.

About the Role:

We are looking for a reliable, flexible, and patient individual who is passionate about teaching and learning. As a Math and Science Coach, you will work in a small group setting, helping students improve their academic skills and build their confidence in math and science.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide academic support and guidance to students in grades 8-12 in math and science subjects
  • Work in a small group setting, helping students improve their academic skills and build their confidence
  • Report on concepts covered and cognitive skills discussed, monitoring and reporting on student progress
  • Ensure student programming moves at an appropriate pace
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Ability to dynamically teach math and/or science to students in grades 8-12 at both the applied and academic level
  • Experience teaching or tutoring high school students
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
