Job Title: Instructor - Industrial Electrician

New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) is a leading institution in education and training. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Instructor - Industrial Electrician to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and competent individual to teach and train students in the field of industrial electricity. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical trades and be able to effectively communicate complex concepts to students.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver instructional materials and resources for students
  • Establish and manage a positive learning environment
  • Instruct and evaluate students
  • Build and sustain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and stakeholders
  • Other related duties as required
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Valid Journeyperson Certificate of Qualification in Industrial Electrical with a Red Seal Certificate
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Preference may be given to candidates with a minimum of three (3) years of related, recent work experience at the Journeyperson's level
  • Preference may be given to candidates with experience teaching in a post-secondary environment in a blended delivery format
Professional Skills
  • Highly flexible with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, analytical ability, and innovative thinking
  • Self-motivated, service and results oriented
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and within a team
  • A desire for continuous learning and growth

This position is a unionized position where the terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NBUPPE - Education (Instructional) collective agreement for the College.
