**Job Summary**

Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a qualified Cook to join our Dietary department at West Park Health Centre. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring our Residents receive nutritious and delicious meals, prepared and served with care.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Review and prepare food according to standardized recipes and production sheets.
  • Assist the Food Services Manager in their absence, taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Monitor food supplies and recommend corrective action when necessary.
  • Coach Dietary Aides in food preparation procedures and serving activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and collaborate with other departments to meet Resident needs.

**Requirements:**

  • Holds a chef training certificate, culinary management certificate, or diploma from a recognized college.
  • Possesses a current Food Handlers Certificate.
  • Successfully passes tuberculosis (TB) testing.
  • Obtains a current and valid Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) Police Reference Check.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Red Seal Cook Trade Certification.
  • Experience in institutional large quantity cooking.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to lead and direct others in a fast-paced environment.
