Job Description

Rychiger Canada Inc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Specialist to join our team. This role involves conducting research, designing mechanical systems and equipment, analyzing dynamics and vibrations, and supervising installation and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct feasibility studies on mechanisms, components, and systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Design and develop power plants, machines, and equipment that meet or exceed industry standards
  • Analyze the dynamic behavior of mechanical systems and structures to identify areas for improvement
  • Oversee the installation and inspection of mechanical systems to ensure they are properly installed and functioning as intended
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and programs to minimize downtime and maximize system reliability
  • Investigate and troubleshoot mechanical failures and unexpected maintenance issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Plan and manage projects from concept to completion, including preparing estimates, reports, and design specifications
  • Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for industrial construction and maintenance projects
  • Supervise and review the work of technicians, technologists, and other engineers to ensure compliance with company standards and procedures
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in mechanical design and development, preferably in a leadership role
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards
