Job Title: Security Systems Technician

As a Security Systems Technician with Paladin Technologies, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and safety of our clients' properties. Your primary responsibility will be to install, service, and maintain electronic security systems, including intrusion systems and field devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installing and servicing electronic security systems, including intrusion systems and field devices
  • Pre-wiring, installing, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Providing customer training for proper system usage and responding to technical inquiries
  • Building relationships with clients and prospects for future opportunities
  • Administrative duties, including project updates to project managers and completing and filing all project documentation
  • Mentoring, coaching, and training of other technicians
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in a technical role within the integrated security industry
  • Knowledge of alarm systems (Bosch, DSC, DMP, Honeywell, ICT)
  • Understanding of alarm installation requirements (residential and commercial), along with monitoring/programming
  • Ability to properly read alarm blueprints, submittals, and operation/product manuals
  • Understanding of Low Voltage standards and codes
  • Security Worker License
  • Knowledge of other security systems (Access Control, CCTV, Intercom) is an asset
  • Postsecondary training in electronics or equivalent is considered an asset
  • Vendor Certification in low voltage systems is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience leading installations at the site level is preferred
  • Programming experience preferred
  • Valid Driver's License with clean abstract
  • Ability to use hand and specialty tools associated with the industry
  • Ability to lift 50lbs consistently
  • Capable of prolonged standing/walking
  • Able to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills
