Speech Language Pathologist Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Joanne Romas & Associates. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating human communication disorders, including speech, fluency, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer tests and examinations to diagnose and evaluate speech, voice, resonance, language, fluency, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement remedial programs to correct speech, voice, language, fluency, resonance, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders.
  • Establish group and personalized care plans as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Educate and counsel patients and families regarding communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Conduct research on speech and other communication disorders and on the development and design of diagnostic procedures and devices.
  • May instruct and supervise communicative disorders assistants, students, and other healthcare personnel.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a Master's degree from a Speech Language Pathology program.
  • Registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Experience working in a community setting is an asset.
  • Valid Ontario driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
  • Proficient in conducting assessments, interpreting assessment results, and formulating evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Experience using a variety of assessment tools and therapy techniques commonly used in speech-language pathology.
What We Offer:
  • Salary: $165,000-$218,000 per year.
  • Part-time and full-time opportunities with flexible schedules and remote work options.
  • Sign-on bonus of $3,000.
  • Ongoing support and mentorship.
