Job Title: Building Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at THRIVE AUTO COLLISION. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our building and its systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse.
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers to prevent odors and pests.
  • Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings to maintain a clean and tidy appearance.
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Advertise vacancy to attract new talent.
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
  • Perform minor repairs on appliances to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Perform safety and security checks to identify potential hazards.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safe access.
Requirements:
  • Experience an asset in a similar role.
  • Support for newcomers and refugees by recruiting and integrating new team members.
  • Support for youths by providing awareness training to create a welcoming work environment.
  • Permanent position with a regular schedule.
  • English as the primary language of communication.
  • 30 to 35 hours per week of work.
