Computer Network Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Computer Network Technician to join our team at Seascape Advisory Inc. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software
- Provide problem-solving services to network users and implement data, software, and hardware security procedures
- Perform routine network start-up and close-down procedures and maintain control records
- Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
- Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet
- Implement network traffic and security monitoring software and optimize server performance
- Recruit and support newcomers and refugees who have been displaced by conflict or natural disaster
- Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations
- Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities
- Work Language: English
- Hours: 30 hours per week
