About the Role

The Senior Portfolio Manager will lead a team of professionals in discretionary investment management, focusing on client relationships, portfolio performance, and business growth.

This role requires 5+ years of Portfolio Manager experience, with a CFA designation or significant experience in portfolio management, and proven track record of performance excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Spearhead education initiatives for national consistency, developing best practices for regional collaboration and resource effectiveness.
  2. Champion a client-focused culture, deepening relationships and leveraging broader Bank resources.
  3. Expand PM skill sets for effective client relationship management, including training on planning software and meeting discovery.
  4. Support Regional Heads in overseeing PM onboarding and provide education and training to MD PIC employees.
  5. Recruit PMs in their zone, ensuring talent acquisition and retention.
  6. Collaborate with head office and front office to support current and evolving projects.
  7. Manage client portfolios, delivering exceptional service, adhering to governing regulations, and internal policies.
  8. Implement new products and sales initiatives, staying up-to-date on financial matters affecting clients.
  9. Interact with clients as required, maintaining high-performance standards.

Requirements

  • University degree.
  • 5+ years Portfolio Manager experience.
  • CFA designation or significant experience, with registration potential.
  • Experience leading a team of highly qualified professionals.
  • Proven track record of performance excellence, meeting targets and providing exceptional client service.
  • Mandatory bilingual English & French language proficiency.
