Job Overview

RPS Energy Canada Ltd., a leading provider of geotechnical and engineering solutions, is seeking a skilled Wellsite Geologist to support its growing client base in the WCSB. This role requires expertise in onshore drilling environments.

Salary and Benefits

As a contract Wellsite Geologist, you can expect industry-leading rates and steady rotations on long-term projects with guaranteed payment within 14 days of invoice. Additionally, you will receive access to Wellsight Systems software keys for all projects.

Job Description

This role involves working closely with our clients to achieve their objectives through exceptional sample petrography and interpretation skills, particularly in wellbore placement (geosteering) in reservoirs. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Exceptional sample petrography and interpretation skills for geosteering in reservoirs
  • Understanding of formation evaluation, drilling, and petrophysical data
  • Experience drilling horizontal wells in Mannville Group heavy oil formations, Deep Basin, and Southern Alberta will be considered an asset
  • Candidates proficient in StarSteer are preferred for some projects
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Geology
