Job Title: Afternoon Shift Forklift Operators

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team at Drake International. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating a Dockstocker or Standup Reach forklift, as well as a Powerjack, to load and unload products around the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a forklift to load and unload products, stack and store them as needed.
  • Perform regular inspections to ensure the equipment is functioning properly and report any concerns.
  • Handle products safely and securely, and ensure they are transported to the correct designated areas using the warehouse inventory system.
  • Provide support with other warehouse tasks as needed, including packaging products for shipping, and performing periodic inventory audits.
  • Follow company safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a forklift operator (certification is considered an asset).
  • Strong understanding of forklift safety guidelines and procedures.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for long periods of time.
  • Must have CSA approved safety shoes.
  • Able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
