We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Sienna Senior Living. As a critical role within our communities, this position impacts the lives of residents and ignites the warmth of human connection.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
- Ensure the safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and follow protocols on all assigned shifts.
- Create a comfortable and safe environment that promotes privacy, dignity, autonomy, and individuality.
- Optimize each resident's potential to achieve or maintain maximum functional ability.
- Seek direction from the RN when resident needs exceed experience or scope of practice.
- Exercise sound nursing judgment by reporting any change in resident status in a timely manner.
- Foster an atmosphere conducive to optimal care and effective functioning of the assigned resident home area.
- Liaise with medical team members to provide effective clinical care for all residents.
- Continually assess and improve nursing practice and learning needs.
- Diploma in Practical Nursing.
- Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses BC.
- Successful annual completion of RAI MDS certification as per Ministry of Health requirements for AIS.
- Current First Aid with CPR.
- All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Criminal Records Check.
- Long Term Care Experience.
We offer a competitive wage leveling rate of pay $41.35 per hour, and a comprehensive benefits package including dental care, employee stock purchase plan, extended health care, life insurance, paid time off, RRSP match, and wellness program.
