Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Sienna Senior Living. As a critical role within our communities, this position impacts the lives of residents and ignites the warmth of human connection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
  • Ensure the safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and follow protocols on all assigned shifts.
  • Create a comfortable and safe environment that promotes privacy, dignity, autonomy, and individuality.
  • Optimize each resident's potential to achieve or maintain maximum functional ability.
  • Seek direction from the RN when resident needs exceed experience or scope of practice.
  • Exercise sound nursing judgment by reporting any change in resident status in a timely manner.
  • Foster an atmosphere conducive to optimal care and effective functioning of the assigned resident home area.
  • Liaise with medical team members to provide effective clinical care for all residents.
  • Continually assess and improve nursing practice and learning needs.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Practical Nursing.
  • Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses BC.
  • Successful annual completion of RAI MDS certification as per Ministry of Health requirements for AIS.
  • Current First Aid with CPR.
  • All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Criminal Records Check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Long Term Care Experience.
