Role Overview

We seek an experienced Lead Data Scientist to join our founding team. This pivotal role involves driving the AI vision for Thri5, defining the problems we want to solve, and integrating AI into our core platform.

The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in machine learning, data science, and AI application, with a proven ability to lead projects from conceptualization to implementation and build impactful products.

Main Responsibilities
  1. AI Strategy and Vision
  • Leverage deep technical expertise in ML and AI to define and drive the AI strategy for Thri5 across all aspects of the platform.
Problem Definition and Partnership
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to leverage AI models in building high-value products from ideation to execution and launch.
Model Development and Optimization
  • Develop, implement, and optimize high-performing AI and ML products to predict supply chain opportunities, optimize performance, and automate actionable changes.
Data Integration and Ownership
  • Take full ownership of data integration and ensure seamless data flow from various supply chain systems into the AI platform.
Entrepreneurial Mindset and Thought Leadership
  • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit by independently figuring out the necessary steps to advance projects, and proactively addressing challenges as they arise.
  • Provide thought leadership in AI and data science, staying ahead of industry trends and continuously innovating to enhance Thri5's platform.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  1. Educational Background
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in data science and machine learning, with demonstrated success leveraging AI and ML to build and deliver high-value products within supply chain and/or retail.
Technical Proficiency
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, and Java.
  • Proficiency with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-Learn.
  • Experience with big data tools like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
Deep Learning Expertise
  • Extensive experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch, and a strong understanding of neural networks and other deep learning architectures.
Analytical Skills
  • Expertise in predictive modeling, classification, clustering, and time-series analysis.
Leadership and Communication
  • Proven ability to lead and scale a practice, with excellent project management and communication skills.
Industry Knowledge
  • Experience in supply chain management, retail, or related industries is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer an estimated salary range of $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
