Senior Data Scientist Role

You'll work within a high-impact team that leverages machine learning to unlock insights from vast financial datasets. As a Senior Data Scientist, you'll play a critical role in leading projects that shape the future of finance by helping clients make smarter decisions and deliver more effective services.

Your Responsibilities
  • Model Lifecycle Ownership: Design, build, deploy, and continuously improve sophisticated machine learning models, minimizing drift and maximizing accuracy across use cases.
  • Data Detective: Proactively dive deep into massive datasets, identify data quality issues, and resolve them to ensure models perform optimally.
  • Innovation with Cloud Platforms: Leverage cloud platforms to build, train, and scale advanced models, utilizing our ML Platform to develop cutting-edge solutions.
  • Technical Strategy Shaping: Propose and implement forward-thinking technical solutions, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in financial data science.
  • Collaboration and Mentorship: Work closely with engineering and product teams to integrate your models into production, while mentoring team members to share knowledge and foster growth.
  • Research and Development: Be a key contributor to groundbreaking research and development, exploring the latest advancements in machine learning and applying them to financial data products.
What We're Looking For
  • A deep understanding of data science and the ability to leverage that knowledge to propose innovative ideas, enhance existing solutions, and shape the future of finance in Canada and globally.
  • 5+ years of experience as an established and confident Data Scientist.
  • The willingness to experiment and explore new techniques and solutions.
  • A strong proficiency in Python for data science.
  • Hands-on experience with advanced NLP models (e.g., Transformers, BERT).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and their application to scalable data science solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.
