At OpenText, we're looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our Global Finance team. As a key member of our accounting cycle, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our corporate accounting, consolidation, internal reporting, and analysis functions.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Accountant, you'll be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial results
  • Preparing and reviewing account reconciliations, promoting best practices and ensuring proper accounting and controls
  • Researching and outlining accounting standard changes, providing reports on findings and recommended next steps
  • Providing support to other finance teams and the business as required, addressing financial matters and questions
  • Developing custom reports and providing internal reporting to the finance leadership team using various internal systems and automated tools
  • Participating in global finance projects, including system automation, process improvements, and internal reporting development

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with:

  • A university degree, preferably in finance or accounting
  • CPA designation (or equivalent) required
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong collaboration and organizational skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Understanding of accounting ERP systems is an asset
